Willard Brook State Park is located on Route 119 in Ashby,
MA. Enter through the main gate. In summer there is a $5.00 parking
fee. The path you seek is at the far end of the parking lot and has a
chain across the entrance. It is a blue blazed trail. Follow the path up
the hill. There will be picnic tables on your left. You will go
around a large rock in the path as you enter the woods. Stay on the path as it
winds it's way through pines and laurel. When you get to the fallen log in
the path stay alert, your treasure is close at hand. Look to the left in
the woods and you will see rocks roughly in the formation of a semi-circle. Step
off the path and find the Solstice Dance letterbox nestled under the back of a
flat topped rock with a removable smaller rock in front of it.
